
| Signal Center, Pentagon Building, Washington DC. The tape tube station and overseas radioteletype transmitting bank where messages are received at the tape tube station from the perforating section. These tapes are placed by routing operators in the washboard type racks designated by the proper routing indicator. The tapes are then removed from the front of the washboard rack and placed in the transmitting equipment below the racks by transmitting operators. August 1946 |
