
| A huge geyser of smoke and sand shoots skyward as large anti-tank mines are exploded on the beach at Viareggo, Italy by Engineers of the 92nd (Negro ) Division. Mines were planted by Germans fearing an invasion form the sea. More than a hundred mines were exploded in this manner. |
