
CONVOYS SET THE STAGE FOR INVASION - Files of convoy ships carrying troops, equipment, and supplies are seen from the bridge of the US Coast Guard-manned assault cargo ship USS Cepheus moving eastward across the Atlantic to set up a vast arsenal in Britain in prelude to the invasion of Western Europe. US Coast Guard combat cutters, destroyer escorts, and frigates assigned to protect these vital lifelines watch for Nazi submarine marauders lurking below.
