EMULATING THEIR LARGER AND more powerful aerial counterparts, these two Marine artillery-spotting planes of the Fourth Marine Air Wing circle in close formation over our fast-growing island base iin the Marianas. As 'eyes' of the artillery during the early stages of the Marianas seige last year, these planes frequently saw action deep over enemy territory. The highly versatile Stinson Sentinels have become a target.
