WATERY GARAGE - An amphibian tractor moves into position in the well deck of an LSD at Guadalcanal prepatory to a three-day trip to Emirau Island, where the 4th Marine Regiment occupied the British possession which had fallen to Japanese forces. The troops landed from the amphibian tractors (Buffalos and Alligators) on the morning of March 20, 1944.
