A Marine leaps to the wing of a 4th marine Air Wing torpedo bomber on Iwo Jima's newly captured Motoyama #2 airstrip, just prior to the plane's take-off on anti-submarine patrol in defense of this tiny island outpost only 3 air hours from Japan.
