HITTING THIS BEACH WAS EASY - Leathernecks of the First Marine Division disembark from a troop transport at a camp somewhere in the South Pacific to a welcoming tune from the Division's band. These men have just returned to their hard won victory over the Japs on Peleliu. The Marines on the dock are artillerymen. October 1944 - Pavuvu, Russell Island
