Camouflaged Marines of the jungle Leathernecks who learned their jungle tricks from island natives in a special Marine Corps scouts and Sniper's school, stage an ambush on a small South Pacific Island. Although in the same positions for both pictures, the 4 Marines are invisible in one because of camouflage emphasis. The second picture, exposed a few seconds later, shows the Marines with their camouflage thrown off, their rifles ready. January 1943
