The M-1 smoke generator can effectively blanket an area up to 25 miles long and many miles wide. Easily and quickly shiftable, the "smoker" can so completely "blackout" a city that enemy air attacks are ineffective and useless. The M-1 smoke generator is mounted on a truck whereas its little brother, the M-2, sometimes called the "foxhole fog maker," is mounted on a jeep for front line use. Picture was made at Edgewood Arsenol. |
