COAST GUARD-MANNED LST MAKES RAIL CONNECTION ON COAST - Looking down from the deck of a Coast Guard-manned LST, Coast Guardsmen can see a land track stretching forth from the bomb-torn French coast to make conenction with the track-equipped tank landing ship. When the union is completed, freight cars ferried from England will roll easily onto the shore, ready for use on the Army Transportation Corp's vast rail network which supplies Allied Armies on the Western Front.
